Frequently asked questions
Does DishArchive include an online recipe catalog?
No. DishArchive starts empty. You add recipes that you own or have permission to store, and the app does not fetch third-party recipes.
How is the weekly shopping list created?
DishArchive scales each planned recipe to its menu serving count, then combines matching ingredient names and units for the visible week.
What does importing a JSON backup do?
After validation and confirmation, the imported version 1 backup replaces all recipes, menu entries, and cooking progress currently stored on this device.
Where is my DishArchive data stored?
Your app content is stored in local app storage on your device. DishArchive has no account or cloud-sync service. Depending on your settings, local data may be included in an operating-system or cloud backup.
Can I turn analytics and crash reports off?
Yes. Open the Privacy control inside DishArchive and change your choice at any time. Analytics and crash reporting are off by default and start only after you enable them.
Does DishArchive show ads or require an account?
No. The current version has no advertising SDK, login, account system, subscription, or in-app purchase.
The app closed unexpectedly. What should I send?
Tell us your device model, operating-system version, app version, language, and the steps immediately before the issue. A screenshot can help, but hide anything you do not want to share.
